OWNER/LEAD DESIGNER
For Char, an appreciation for home began long before it became a career. Growing up in Montana, her family purchased farms and transformed the neglected houses that came with them. Through those early renovations, she developed an instinctive understanding of the power of our surroundings—and the profound effect a home's design can have on the way we live and feel.
That belief remains at the heart of her work today. Char approaches each project with the conviction that exceptional design should be as livable as it is beautiful—creating interiors that feel considered and elevated, yet entirely at ease.
Her perspective is shaped by a combination of creative and business training. Char earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Carroll College and a B.F.A. in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Portland, graduating with high honors from both. A former collegiate athlete, she brings the same discipline, tenacity and team mentality to her work, collaborating closely with clients, architects, builders and craftspeople to carry a shared vision from the earliest ideas through the final details.
With two decades of experience, Char has developed a point of view that favors enduring beauty over passing trends and individuality over a prescribed aesthetic. Her work is refined but never precious, layered yet restrained—creating homes designed not simply to be admired, but to elevate the experience of everyday life.
