Meet Char
OWNER, LEAD DESIGNER
Char's love of design can be traced all the way back to her childhood in Montana. Her family moved frequently, purchasing farms and renovating the neglected houses on the properties. Even then, Char was aware of the profound psychological effect that beautiful, functional interiors can have. Those early experiences still inform her design philosophy—her belief that the measure of good design is its ability to improve your daily life.
Char's personal style can best be described as clean-lined, minimalistic, and organic, but the diversity of her portfolio is a testament to her commitment to client-driven design. Char applies her creative vision and "farm kid" grit to large renovations, new construction, and extensive kitchen and bath projects. She's equally at home in the details, sourcing furnishings, styling accessories, and designing custom elements like window treatments. Over the last 15 years, she has developed a trusted network of talented contractors, tradespeople, workrooms, and vendors that help her execute her creative visions.
Char graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Portland. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with Emphases in Finance, Economics, and Management from Carroll College. You will find her work featured in Better Homes and Gardens, Portrait of Portland, Oregon Home, on Portland's Tour of Remodeled Homes, and on numerous blogs and social media platforms.
